BLUE RIBBON MOVEMENT.
A meeting of the Blue Ribbonists was held in the Templars’ Hall, Dillman’s Town, on Monday evening last, Mr R. Barrett in the chair.
The Secretary, Mr D. M‘Kiunon, shewed the indebtedness of the Society for the Rev. Mr Holland’s lecture, and pledge books, amounted to £1 16s 6d. The cash in hand was £1 os, collected at the lecture, and 9s 6d contiibuted by members, leaving a deliciency of 4s, which was met by four gentlemen in the room contributing Is each. It was resolved that Mr J. White
and Mr H. Snair wait on the Rev. Mr Gillam, and endeavour to secure him for a lecture.
It was also resolved members be asked to contribute Is ou ioining the Society. A general meeting of all the members was appointed to be held on the first Monday in each month. The Secretary was requested to write to Mr F. Cain, and ask him to form a Blue Ribbon choir.
