Tho Associated Bunks have decided not to cash the notes of the Oriental Bank Corporation in circulation in the colony. Captain Lockyer, of the steamship Adelaide, that he delivered up his mate's certificate, and shipped at Adelaide as purser, but really to act as commander.
(Received May 6, noon.) May 6. Intelligence has been received that the steamer India, bound from Newcastle to Lyttelton, has foundered at sea. The crew are saved.
