* [united press association.] Dunedin, April 16. Thong Ton Ti, who was some time ago confined in Lawrence gaol as a lunatic, bound himself hand and foot and then set fire to his hut. His charred remains were subsequently found. Gisborne, April 16. A saddler named Charles King, after a drinking bout, swallowed a lot of chlorodyne, but the stomach pump saved him.
