HOSPITAL FETE.

A meeting of the Hospital Fete Committee was held in the Town Hall last evening; present—Mr H. Burger (in the chair), Messrs Barnett, Palmer, Light, Hope, Richards, J. Hannah, G. Watson, Ziegler, O'Hagan, Hanuan. and W. Nicholson. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The Chairman reported that Mrs Wade would be agreeable to form a committee of ladies to take charge of the fancy goods stall; and that Mrs Wilby, in like manner would undertake to attend to a refreshment stall, assisted j by ladies. He also repotted that Mr J. Mulvihill had consented to lend the Committee some timber for the booth. Messrs Palmer and Watson were requested to apply to Messrs Davidson Bros, for the use of galvanised iron. Mr Barnett reported that the String Band were agreeable to play at the concert. The Chairman reported that about £2O had been collected in the town towards the sports, and that Mr Greenroyd had consented to act as M.C. both at fete and ball. Messrs Palmer and Light reported having canvassed Dillman's Town and district with very good success. Messrs Hope and Watson also reported having canvassed the Larrikins district, receiving a good many articles, and that the ladies were busy preparing articles for the fancy goods stall. The supply committee was constituted an emergency committee, to deal with matters requiring attention between the ordinary meetings of the general committee. The meeting stands adjourned till Thursday next, 10th inst., ;• • ;5.30 p.m.
