WARDEN'S COURT.
Friday, March 21. [Before J. Giles, Esq., Warden.] APPLICATIONS. The application of L. Seddon for a water-race at Dawson's Creek, objected to by James Holmes and the Long Tunnel Company, was postponed for a month for amendment. The Warden expressed his opinion that all the water applied for must be carried in one race. Alexander Campbell and Co., by their agent Mr Hannan, applied for a (special site at Mignonette Flat Granted. Henry Fitzsimons applied for a residence area in First street, on the Education Reserve. The application was objected to by Joseph Cairns, by his agent Mr Hannan, on the ground that he was the owner of a claim adjoining, and should it prove to be payable, he would require to cut a waterrace through the ground now applied for.—The application was granted, sub. ject to right of applicant for headrace, which is not to interfere with his building. Robert Hunter and party applied to construct a water-race.—The application was objected to by Thomas Rothwell and party, by their agent Mr Seddon, on the ground that it would injuriously affect their claim.—The application was postponed until next Court day for further particulars.
