A CONTRADICTION.

[to the editor.] Sir—Knowing you are always ready and willing to redress a wrong, I seek it at your hands. So, seeing in your issue of Wednesday, sth inst., a report of proceedings in regard to my children, I wish you to insert my contradiction to that report, inasmuch as they were not neglected by me nor through my character. They were not sent away to Nelson, I having had much difficulty in getting them away. And any other statements which may appear will receive the fullest explanation to any one who may look for it.—l am, yours, <fec, Maria Eiordan. Kumara, March 7, 1884. [Nothing more was added to the report referred to than what appears in the Court records.-—Ed. K.T.]
