THE BOY YORTT AND THE HOSPITAL STAFF.
[to the editor.] Sir—l hope you will excuse me troubling you again, but I think it to be my duty through your valuable paper to acknowledge with thanks the sympathy expressed by the public towards me in the matter of the late dynamite accident which happened to my boy about three weeks ago. He is now out of the Hospital. His eyesight is perfectly restored, and his hand is in a fair way of recovery; Too much praise cannot be given to the Acting Hospital Surgeon, Dr. Moncktou, for the kind and careful treatment he has displayed in my boy’s recovery, and to whom I tender my sincere thanks; likewise towards the Warder, Mr Ross, and Mrs Cooper, both of whom have been untiring in nursing my boy, and have spared no time nor labour to comfort the little sufferer. The acting surgeon and staff are a credit to themselves and the institution, making the institution a comfort and a home to those who are obliged to avail themselves of it.—l am, sir, yours, Carl Yortt. Dillman’s Town, February 29, 1884.
