(Received February 18, 9.45 p.m.) Sydney, February 18. The cricket match Australian Eleven versus the Combined Team was resumed here to-day, when the latter continued their second innings, with four wickets down and 42 runs to their credit. The remaining wickets fell rapidly, and the whole were disposed of for a total of 113. Giffen,for the Australian Eleven, bowled splendidly, and took all the wickets. The Australian Eleven, requiring IS runs to win, then commenced their second innings, and scored 20 with the loss of one wicket, thus winning by nine wickets. The following are the total scores :—Australian Eleven : first innings, 318 ; second, 20. Combined Team : first innings, 222 • second, 113. Per Merchant Shipping and Underwriters’ Association : London, February 16.—Arrived, the ship Mercia, from Wellington, November 23rd. (Received February 19, 2.30 p.m.) February 19. Arrived, yesterday morning, the steamship Ringarooma, from Auckland. The Californian sheep recently imported have been found, after detention in quarantine, to be inflicted with scab.
