EDUCATION. WESTLAND AND GREY. WHEREAS the property hereinafter described was, previous to the Ist January last, vested in the Education Board of the Education District of Westland, and whereas at the said date mentioned the said Board and the said Education District ceased to exist : And whereas the said property thereupon became bona vacantia: NOW, THEREFORE, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that her Majesty Queen Victoria, by virtue of her Royal prerogative, did, upon ( such said property becoming bona vacantia, as aforesaid, take possession thereof for the benefit of the public; and her said Majesty doth hereby take possession of the same and assert full rights of ownership thereto. And notice is hereby further given that all manner of persons, except such as shall be thereunto lawfully authorised by her said Majesty, are warned against entering upon, taking possession of, or otherwise interfering with the said property. Description of property referred to above : —The Public School Buildings at Hokitika, Grejmouth. Kynnersley, Totara Flat, Orwell Creek, Ahaura, Hatter’s Terrace, Red Jack’s, No Town, Brunnerton, Maori Gully, Danganville, Marsden, Cobden, Paroa, Westbrook, Greenstone, Kumara, Rangiriri, Goldsborougb, Stafford, Arahura Road, South Spit, Kanieri, Blue Spur, Upper Crossing, Woodstock, Upper Kokatahi, Lower Kokatahi, Ross, Donoghues, Waitangi, Okarito, Gillespies, Arawata, Arawata Flat, together with all the personal property within and about the same respectively ; And also, the property in Mackay street, Greymonth, consisting of Office, Residence, Books, Stores, Stables, &c., and all Teachers’ Residences in the said district with the appurtenances.
