"JUPITER'S" OMISSION.
[to the editor.] Sir —]Sfo doubt many and in fact all of the readers of the Kumara Times are fully aware that “Jupiter,” the borough star for 1883, knows the way to get his claws into the borough jam-pot; at least I call it the borough jam-pot, “ Jupiter” having acknowledged it to have proved , a very good jam pot to him. However, let “Jupiter” crack away at Richard John ; J am sure that if “Jupiter” was mounted upon a ha-porth of coppers, and were to attempt to reach the altitude of respect that Richard John has arrived at, we should soon hear that, in spite of quackery, “Jupiter” had fallen. Dear “Jupiter,” let me assure you that you will never be able to get your claws into the Government jam-pot. Now I cannot help but scorn “ Jupiter’s ” last act in his reference to Nathan Seddon. The poor old man was accused of being paid more than his due; “ Jupiter” would like that to be his case. But the poor old man asked for an inquiry, and I am happy to say he was cleared of this sweeping accusation. And, “ Jupiter,” I would advise you to turn over a new leaf in your book of jam-pot extracts. If not —beware of Justice. February 5, 1884
