[REUTER'S TELEGRAMS.] By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. THE SCHOONER GREYHOUND, OF SAN FRANCISCO. FIRE AT THE FOOTSCRAY CANDLE WORKS. (Received January 10, 1.5 a.m.) Sydney, January 9. Captain Lancaster, of the brig Jolm Wesley, from the South Sea, Islands, reports having seen the American schooner Greyhound, of San Francisco, ashore at Marouka, with the loss of rudder and a false keel. Later. Intelligence from Haadi states that the Greyhound floated off, and is safely anchored at Levuka. (Received January 10, 12.40 p.m.) Melbourne, January 10. A disastrous five occuned this morning at the Apollo Candle Company's Works, Footscray. The whole premises were almost totally destroyed, and the loss is very heavy. The supply of water was deficient, and it was consequently almost impossible to check the spread of the flames.
