BOROUGH COUNCIL.

A special meeting of the Borough Council was held in the Town Hall last eveuing for the purpose of considering the annual balance-sheet. There weie present—His Worship the Mayor (W. Barnett, Esq.), Councillors Rudkin, Anderson, Home, Carey, Burger, and Mulvihill. On the motion of Cr. Burger, seconded by Cr. Home, it was resolved that the'yearly balance-sheet be received and considered. Cr. Burger moved—" That the asset of the Recreation Ground be added to the annual Statement of Assets of the Borough, viz., £150." The motion was seconded by Cr, Rudkin, and carried. It was moved by Cr. Burger, and seconded by Cr. Mulvihill-"That the Treasurer's attention be called to the balance-sheet, and that he be requested to keep a separate account for day labour, and the different streets the moneys have been expended on.—Carried. The balance-sheet; as read and amended was then approved of and adopted, and the Council adjourned.
