WARDEN’S COURT.
Friday, May 4. [Before J. Giles, Esq., Warden.] APPLICATIONS. John Bramhall and party, by their agent Mr Hannan, applied for an extended claim of six acres at Dunedin Elat,—Granted, conditionally that on receiving a written notice at any time from the manager of the Government Race that the race is in danger by the working of this claim, applicants must cease working. John Caldwell and party, by their agent Mr Hannan, applied for an extended claim near the Shallow Lead.— Granted on same condition as in the previous application; such condition also to apply to Holmes’s race as well as the Government race. Joseph Meade and party, by their agent Mr Hannan, applied for an extended claim at Larrikins. —Granted oh same conditions as attached to first application with respect to races, &c., within the boundaries. Pascoe and party’s application for the deviation for Holmes’s water-race, and which was objected to by James Holmes, by his agent R. J. Seddon, was postponed for race to be made according to agreement. The application of the same parties to work ground in their extended claim occupied by Holmes’s water-race, was also postponed. The application of Daniel Rowley and party, by their agent Mr Hannan, for an extended claim at Ross Terrace, was .granted on same conditions as attach to the first (Bramhall and party’s) application. James Turnbull and party, by their agent Mr Hannan, applied to construct a branch-race from the Government water-i'ace, at Dillman’s Town to their claim at Dunedin Flat. The application was opposed by Charles Forth, by his agent Mr R. J. Sebdon ; but granted on condition that a mode of ingress and egress be provided for the objector. The same party applied for a special site for erecting machinery, which was also opposed by the same objector, subject to any right that the objector may be able to prove. Joseph Cairns and party applied, by their agent Mr Hannan, for fourteen days’ protection for their extended claim ; no water being available.— Granted. An application by James Daw, by his agent Mr Hannan, for an injunction to restrain Moore and party from sluicing out the natural support of his hut and tent-ground, was withdrawn.
