By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. BRITISH AND FOREIGN. DISORDERS AT PORT SAID. THE PHCENIX PARK MURDERS.— TRIAL OF FITZHARRIS. WIDESPREAD. CONSPIRACY TO MURDER IN COUNTY CLARE. (Received April 30, 9.50 p.m.) Alexandra, April 28, News has been recived here that serious disorders have occurred at Port Said. The Greek residents were attacked yesterday by a body of Arab fanatics, and several of the former were killed and wounded before the disorder was quelled. The Britssh troops now' stationed at Port Said were called out and protected the Greek Church, the destruction of which was threatened by the Arabs. (Received May 1, 12.45 p.m.) April 30. James Fitzharris, another of the Phcenix Park prisoners, was brought up for trial to-day at Dublin, and the case is still proceeding. In the House of Commons to-day the Hon. G. O. Trevelyan, Chief Secretary for Ireland, stated that a widespread conspiracy to murder had been discovered in County Clare, in the West of Ireland, and the Executive hoped to he able to completely unmask the whole plot. LATEST AUSTRALIAN NEWS. THE SAN FRANCISCO MAIL SERVICE. BANK OF NEW SOUTH WALES DIVIDEND. (Received May 1, 12.45 p.m.) Melbourne, May 1. The Victorian, Tasmanian, and South Australian delegates to the Postal Conference have started for Sydney. The Melbourne Museum and Picture Gallery will be opened to the public on Sundays, from the 6th inst. Sydney. May 1. Arrived, this morning, the Wakatipu, from Wellington. The Legislative Council has passed the Postmaster General’s resolution for the continuance of the San Francisco mail service as agreed to in the Asscmbly. The Bank of New South Wales has declared a dividend for the past halfyear at the rate of 15 per cent, per annum.
