A large open air meeting was held yesterday, at which a resolution was passed protesting against the vote for immigration which had been passed by the Assembly. A, G. Taylor, the member for Mudgee, made an apology in the Legislative Assembly last night for the unfounded statement which he made recently. The House received his apology. (Received March 15, 12.45 p.m.) Melbourne, March 15. Arrived, yesterday morning, the Blanapoari, from the Bluff. Professor (? Ellery)' reports that the operations at Singapore, Port Darwin, Adelaide, and Melbourne for determining the longitudes of Australia have been completely successful.
