HOSPITAL COMMITTEE.
The ordinary fortnightly meeting of the Hospital Committee was held in the Secretary's Room last evening; present Mr Toms (in the chair), Messrs Payne, Morris, Stockman, Mansfield, Burger, Montague, and Spyer. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The outward correspondence was read and approved of. The Wardsman's Report for the month of February was then read. It stated that the total number of in-door patients treated was seven ; three had bee discharged cured; and four were at the closen of the month still under treatment. The Report was received ; but the Secretary was instructed to notify the Wardsman always to insert in bis report the disease under which patients were sufferiug. Receipts were handed in as follows: By Mr Stockman, £1 ; Mr Morris, £2; Mr Payne, 10s ; the Secretary, 10s—total, £1 10s. Accounts to the amount of .£SB lis were passed for payment. Collectors were appointed to receive subscriptions for the year as follows : Kumara—Seddon street, Messrs Toms and Burger; Main street, Messrs Campbell and Nicholson; Dillman's Town, Messrs Morris and Payne ; Larrikin's Terrace, Mr Mansfield; Dillman's Flat and Christchurch Road, Mr Montague. The Secretary was instructed to ask Mr John Beveridge to give a lecture in aid of the funds of the Hospital. It was resolved to ask the Friendly Societies to co-operate in getting up a fete during the Easter holidays, and that the Secretary write each society to that effect.
