The 7th Dragoon Guards and the 2nd Battalion of the Ist Royal Lanark Regiment (74th Foot) has been ordered home from Egypt.

(Received February 2, 2.40 p.m. Paris, February 1. The Bonapartist Bill was again under consideration in the Chamber of Deputies to-day. After a long debate, the House, by a large majority, agreed to the compromise recently effected between the Government and the Committee appointed to consider the bill, and a discussion will now take place upon the amended clause which provides for the cashiering of Bonapartist princes from the army, their interdiction from public functions, and expulsion from France at the discretion of the Government. (Received February 3, 1 a.m.) In the Chamber of Deputies this evening, the Bonapartist Bill was again under consideration, and after further debate it was agreed upon as amended and passed by a substantial majority. Bombay, February 1. A panic occurred in a factory in this city to-day, and in attempts made by the operatives to rush from the building the entrances became blocked. Twentythree women were crushed to death, and thirty others seriously injured. [special to press association.] London, January 29. El Mahdi, the False Prophet, is investing Darfour and Bahrelabiad. Relief is difficult. January 30. A vessel supposed to be the ship Berengaria, 1318 tons, bound from London to this port, is ashore at Barwon Heads. A life-boat has gone to her assistance.
