[NEW ZEALAND PRESS ASSOCIATION.! Blenheim, May 20. An awfully sudden death occurred here at noon to-day. William Blick came into town this morning in order to be present at the Agricultural Society’s Show, aad act as one of the judges. After speaking to several persons, he. was proceeding past the Express Office down High street about noon to the place where the show was being held, where he was met by a fi iend who stopped to shake hands with him, and asked him how ho was getting on. Blick replied that he felt that he was very unwell and added, “ I think I am going to have a fit.” The words were scarcely out of his mouth when he fell backwards on the ground. A number of persons seeing him fall ran forward to pick him up, and carried him into the Ciub Hotel. X)r. Cleghorn, who was close at hand, was at once sent for, and on arrival pronounced life to be extinct. Deceased was well known throughout the district, and his sudden death cast quite a gloom over the town to-day. Dr. Cleghorn states that heart disease was the cause of death, and that deceased had been suffering from this for a long time past.
