News has been received from Ireland lli«if a serious iiHVay has occurred between the police and the " Moonlight." marauders. A band of 200 of the "latter, while engaged in wrecking a hoinefllpad itf-ar Listowel, C-tintv Kerry, were attacked and fired unon by the police. Fifteen of them were wounded and captured.
The prospectus of the North Borneo Trading 1 Company was issued to-day. The nominal capital of the company is fixed at £2.000,000.
The Orient Company's Steamship Garonne, which left. Melbourne on March 3rd with 4000. sheep and a quantity of beef and Veal, has arrived. The meat has been examined and reported to be in prime condition. Paris, April 21. Parnell, who has been visiting his
sister in this city, has sta>tecl on his return foV England. Ottawa. April 21. The Dominion Hou.se of Common* has voted an address to the Queen prayibg that Her Majesty will grant ah autonomous constitution to Ireland, similar to that now enjoyed by Canada. The address further asks that those persons who are now in Ireland for political offences should be pardoned. ♦ LATEST AUSTRALIAN NEWS. Melbourne, April 23. A case of attempted murder and suicide occurred to-day in Russell street. A Hungarian named Silher shot and dangerously wounded a barmaid, aud subsequently killed himself. The crime is attributed to jealousy.
