At the half-vearly meeting of the Bank of New Zealand, the net profit was reported as £82.000, which, with £34,900 brought forward from last half-year, is appropriated as follows : To dividend at the rate of 10 per cent per annum and bonus of £5 per share, £75,000; added to reserve fund, £26,000; carried forward, £11,900. The total .assets amount to over £12,000,000. Coin, bullion, and money on short call in London amounts to over £2,000,000. The report and balance-sheet were adapted, and votes of thanks were accorded to the directors and officers.
