SLUICING CLAIMS.

The time and mode of payment shall be as follows :—• 1. That the owners of any sluicing claim shall receive not less than two months’ water free of coat when first opening out; and the first payment for water shall not in any case be demanded for a period of four months from the date the water is first turned on. If good and sufficient reasons can be shewn, or if the water is being used for prospecting purposes, it shall be in the discretion of the manager to grant a further extension of time before insisting on payment. 2. Payments shall be made in full up to date immediately after each washingnp, provided that the interval between any two such payments shall not exceed two months, unless the manager shall in any case and for some special reason grant an extension of time for making such payments. 3. In the case of claims opened out at the time of the coming into force of these regulations, regulation No. 2 shall at once apply. 4. In case of the sale of a claim or any interest in a claim on account of which any moneys for water are due, it shall bo in the discretion of the manager to refuse any further supply of water to such claim until all arrears are paid.
