Melbourne, April 1. The Victorian revenue returns for the quarter ended 31st March amount to £1.540,000, being an increase of £114,000 compared with the corresponding quarter of last year. The revenue from customs increased during same period £96,781, that from excise duties £21,141, and from public works by £15,247. The revenue for nine months ended March 31st shows an increase of £435,500. Adelaide, April 1. The South Australian revenue for the quarter ended 31st March amounts to £571,000, being an increase of £52,836 compared with the corresponding period of 1881. Sydney, April 1. At the meeting of the Australian Jockey Chib at Handwiok today the Hawkesbury Handicap was won by Drummer; Sweet William, second; Hawthornden, third ; after a well-con-tested race. The revenue for March quarter amounted to £1,675,000, being an increase of £282,000 compared with the corresponding period of last year. The railway receipts show an increase of £131,000; land revenue, £290,000; and customs an increase of £33,000. i
