BRITISH AND FOREIGN. London, March 21. Sir Henry Parkts, Premier of New South Wales, arrived here to-day from New York. The discussion in tire House of Commons on the Premier’s motion for a modified form of cloture, was controlled to a late hour last night, and was at length further adjourned. In the course of the debate Lord Hartiugton announced that Government had definitely decided to make the proposal for the cloture a Cabinet question, and to stand or fall by the result. The death is announced to-day of Sir John Nodes Dickenson, Knight, aged 76, Deceased was formerly puisne Judge of the Supreme Court of New South Wales. The mutton in the steamship Protos has realised an average of s|d per pound. The meat had suffered by the temporary stopping of the refrigerating machine on the voyage, and had in consequence become somewhat soft, file Ma quis of Huntley, for whose apprehension a warrant was issued in January last on a charge of defrauding a money lender, and who was supposed to have absconded, to Russia, has returned t> England and surrendered himself to the police.
