WARDEN’S COURT.
o Wednesday, February 8. [Before H. A. Stratford, Esq., Warden.] greenstone. The following applications were disposed of:— King and party applied by their agent, Mr Hannan, for an extended area at Duke’s Terrace. The application was granted. The application of Shin You and paity for a water-race was struck out, there being no appearance on the part of the applicants. Losick and party, by their agent, Mr Hannan, applied for the amalgamation of water rights.—Granted. KUMARA. The application of Burke and party by their agent, Mr Hannan, for a tailrace, was granted. Rourke and party applied for protection. Mr Hannan appeared on behalf of the applicants—Granted. The applications of Messrs Korman, Bretuond, Burrell, and J. Phelan, by their agent, Mr Hannan, for residence areas on the Education Reserve, were refused. The application of W. Raleigh for a residence area on the Dill man’s road, was granted conditionally. The application of M. Phelan, by her agent, Mr Hannan, was adjourned to the 22nd inst. The applicat ; on of J, Forster for a residence area was granted conditionally. J. Shrives applied for a residence area on the Dll'man’s road.—Granted conditionally, J. Lovick applied hy his agent Mr Barff, for the registration of a waterrace.—Granted, subject to existing rights. Coey and party applied for a double area.—Granted. C. Murtha applied by his agent, Mr Hannan, for a residence area on the Greenstone road.—Granted conditionally. Richards and party applied for the registration of a tail-race. The application was objected to by Raleigh and party.—Granted, subject to pertain conditions. The application of M'Glone and party for a tail-race, was objected to by Shrives and party, but granted conditionally. J. 11. King applied for a residence area. Mr J. Horne., by bis agent Mr Hannan, objected to the application. Adjourned to the 22nd. The application of J. Newton, hy his agent Mr Seddon, for an agricultural lease, was ol jected to by J. Olden, and others, by their agent Mr Hannan, but granted conditionally. The application of J. Smith by his agent, Mr Hannan, for a residence area, was objected to by W, B. Gallancl.—
The application was adjourned to the 22 nd inst. Paulsen and party applied for a double area. The application was objected to by R. J. Seddon.—Adjourned to the first sitting in March. In the case of Mor&n and patty v. O’Neill and party-, an application for an injunction, the Warden ruled that two practical miners be appointed, one on each side, to arrange how the ground should be worked without either party having the advantage of the other. The injunction was granted to the 22nd inst., but only to apply in case of encroachment. SUITS. Roth well and party v. Curlett and party.—Mr Guinness appeared for the plaintiffs, and Mr Hannan for the defendants. This was an application for the cancellation of the registration of a tunnel. After a large amount of evidence had been taken, the case was adjourned. Three other cases were adjourned to allow notices to be advertised.
