THE COMEDY AND BURLESQUE COMPANY.
Unfortunately the very inclement nature of the weather militated so much against the attendance at the Adelphi Theatre on Saturday night that the management deemed it advisible to postpone the production of “ Struck Oil” till to-night. Wo had the pleasure of witnessing this great drama played hy the Comedy and Burlesque Company last Christmas hero, and although the company is in several instances differently constituted, it still has the principals and moat important elements of successful production. Our contemporaries in Hokitika speak of their recent production iu terms of the highest praise For the younger portion of the populace as well as the oiler a great tieat is in store in the product ion tonight, after ‘‘Struck Oil,”of “Comic Scenes” from Christmas and New Year’s Pantomime. Mr Wilkinson’s reputation as a clown is long standing, and the graceful dancing ot his wife n Miss Amy Johns, is too well known to need praise at our hands. We hope to see a fall house, as this is really their last, nay their only night, as they are advertised to appear in Greyrmmih to-morrow night. We would call attention to the prices—3s, 2s, and Is,
