BRITISH AND FOREIGN: London, December 20. A very severe storm continues over the greater part of England. The gale has been blowing lor the past two days, and has caused farther serious destruction in many places. New York, September 20. Intelligence has been received here regarding the Arctic exploring vessel Jeannette. The news to hand is to the effect that she was crushed by ice in June last, and was abandoned, the officers and crew taking to the boats. One boat load was rescued by the natives on the Siberian coast, and were forwarded on to Irkutsh in Siberia. Another boat reached the mouth of the river Lena, and its crew were snfferinor fearfully. The other boat is missing and it is feared that all who were on board are missing. Constantinople, December 20. His Highness the Sultan has issued a firman sanctioning the settlement arrived at between the Turkish Commission and die bondholders' delegates regarding the payment of the Ottoman debt.
