The annual election of Mayor of the Borough of Knrnara will take place on Wednesday, the 30th inst. Nominations for the appointment are to bo made at
the Town Clerk’s Office, Seddon street, to-morrow. We bear of two requisitions being in course of signature, but as yet no formal announcement has been made. Three gentlemen were nominated last year—Messrs O'Hagan, Blake, and Campbell. Mr Campbell was well supported when the election day came, and Mr Blake had several supporters, but, being absent from the colony at the time, his ■willingness to be returned was a matter of doubt, helhereby lost votes, and the choice fell to Mr O’Hagan. If, therefore, there be any intention on the part of the burgesses to make a change, or to re-instate Mr O’Hagan, such intention must be given notice of to the Town Clerk before noon to-morrow. [Since the foregoing was in type, we have received Mr O’Hagan’s requisition, which appears in another column.] The ordinary fortnightly meeting of the Borough Council was last evening adjourned till this evening, at half-past seven o’clock.
