COUNTY COUNCIL NOMINATIONS.

Nominations for the return of three members to represent the Arahura Riding in the County Council were received by the Returning Officer (A. F. F. Ethei-idge, Esq.) at the Court House, Stafford, at noon to-day. The following candidates were duly nominated : Mr John M'Whikter was proposed by Mr Tennant, seconded by Mr Zeigler. Mr R. J. Seddon was proposed by Mr Low, seconded by Mr Tovill. Mr Peter Dung an was proposed by Mr S. Agnew, seconded by Mr John Tennant. Mr Henry \V. Sandle was proposed by Mr J. Pierson, seconded by Mr J. Naylor. Mr James Holmes was proposed by Mr Keech, seconded by Mr J. Brown. Mr \V. H. Linnell was proposed by Mr Cribbins, seconded by Mr Murphy. Mr Fergus Barrowman was proposed by Mr Foldi, seconded by Mr R. Morgan. Mr Henry M. Munro was proposed by Mr F. Stanhope, seconded by Mr Ames. Mr Jas. F. Byrne was proposed by Mr Cribbins, seconded by Mr Murphy.
