KUMARA HOSPITAL.
' The forthightly meeting of the Hospital Committee was held in the Secretary’s Room, last evening j present—Mr Toms (in the chair), Messrs Morris, Hughes, Wilson, White, L. J. Spyer, and Dixon. The minutes of the previous meetin" were read and confirmed. °
The Wardsman’s report for the month of August was read and received; From it we learn that during' that time the total number of persons treated as in-door patients was 10, twd being admitted dii.ihg the month; three discharged, and one (Michael Griffen) died. Edmund Raby, bellman, was discharged by the-house committee ; Frank A 1 tiller and Samuel Agnew, miners, were discharged cured; The.six who remained still under, treats ment on the 31st ult. are—Salvadore Garguillo, Robert Hill, Patrick O,Riley) Peter Doorian, Robert Brown, miners) and Robert Whitten, barrier. It was moved and carried that the. house committee confer with the doctor regarding Convalescent patients. It was resolved that a box drain bd. laid down at the rear of the Hospital; Tenders foi 1 additions to the Hospital were received from the following persdris ti—Hewitt, £24 * <tas. Morris) £23; G. A; Bell, £22 10s j flarpley; £22 7s 6d ; H. Jobnsen, £lB ss. Thd tender of 11. Johnsen was accepted. Accounts to the amount of £6O 15a were passed for payment. Subscriptions received by Mr Gafc guillo, £3 ; Mr Toms, £2 i Mf Morris; £2 ; Mr Hughes, £i 10s ; Mr Uinan) £3 10s; the Secretary, £3 10sj amounted to £ls 10s.
The meeting then adjourned till thb 20th insh
