[special to KUMARA times.] STONEWALLING THE REDISTRIBUTION OF SEATS BILL. Wellington, September 2. The stonewalling is still going on. The House has been now sitting continuous in Committee for sixty hours, and there is no sign of stopping until Sunday. A bad feeling is shewn by some members; loss of sleep causes loss of temper. Sir George Grey is going to address the electors at Christchurch next week.

Charleston, September 1. Emma Pell, the divorced wife of Walton Pell, contractor, committed suicide, nearly severing her head from her body with a carving knife last night.
Christchurch, August 31. The remains of Dr Campbell and family, who were cast ashore from the Tararna, were re-interred to-day. The procession was about a mile long, and included seventy carriages. The principal streets through which it had to pass, were liued with spectators. September 1. A man named Michael Howard, storeman in the railway goods shed, fell in front of a truck to-day and was run over. He died three hours afterwards.
New Plymouth, September 1. The natives have commenced fencing again at Rahomutu. The Constabulary pulled the fences down. The survey pegs were also pulled up.
