KUMARA PROSPECTING ASSOCIATION.
A meeting of the subscribers to the« above association was held at the Towtt Hall last evening, at eight o'clock. E»' Blake, Esq., occupied the chair. The Chairman, before proceeding to the business of the meeting, read the agreement signed by the subscribers to the association. An application was received from the Secretary of the Kumara Water-supply Committee requesting a grant of money from the funds of the Prospecting As* sociation to enable the Water-supply-Committee to liquidate their remaining, debt, incurred through.the presentation of their late petition to Parliament for" an increased supply of water to the Kumara goldfield. . f After a considerable amount of dis> cussion on the subject, Mr C. F. Holmes moved—'.'That the request from the Kumara Water supply Committee for a grant of £1 1a 6d, to enable them to liquidate their debt,; be acceded to." ,'.... [ The motion was seconded by Mr "Mf.. Davidson, and carried.
