WARDEN’S COURT.
Monday, August 23. [Before H. A. Stratford, Esq., Warden.] The Court opened at 8 p.m. The following applications in the Greenstone district were disposed of. Hillier and party applied for a double area.—Granted. The application of James Malloy for a lapsed water-right, was granted. Cameron and party applied for a> a double area.—Granted. Lnsich and party, applied by their agent, Mr Hannan, for three waterrights.—Granted. The application of Ward and party for permission to extend their tail-race, was granted. KUMAItA. Bo mas and party applied by their agent, Mr Hannan, far a double area.—; Granted. ! ~ The application of Thomas Lamasoh for a residence area, Was granted subject to conditions/' D. Hannan applied for ;a residence area of half an acre on the Education Reserve. The application was objected to by P. Duggan. Mr Barff appeared for the objector. Evidence was taken, and judgment reserved. Ryan and party v. King and party. This was a suit instituted against the defendants for obstructing a watercourse. Mr Hannan appeared for the plaintiffs. The evidence of nearly a dozen witnesses was taken, and judgment was given for the plaintiff, with costs. The Court rose at 1.15 a.nv.
