Wellington, July 20, 2.20 p.m. There was a full meeting of the Goldfields Committee to-day, at which Mr P. Dungan gave evidence. The petition was very favorably received, and its consideration postponed until to-morrow, when papers and reports in possession of Government will be called for. It is the general opinion that the manager of the race will be required to give evidence.
