WARDEN'S COURT.
♦ Monday, June 20. [Before H. A. Stratford, Esq., Warden.] The Court opened at 5 p.m., when the the following Kumara applications were dealt with : Seddon and party applied for a tailrace.—The application was objected to hy Sellars and party.—Granted, subject to existing rights.
Anderson and Thorm;ui applied for a double area. The application was granted. Evans and Rowley applied for protection.—The case was adjourned, to the 27th inst. An application of Gordon and (Jameron for a water-race was granted. The following applications from the Gieenstoue district were also dealt with : The application of J. Peters for a tailingd site was granted. Duncan Fisher and party applied for a double area.—Mr Barff appeared for the * Williams and Stokes applied for a special site.—Mr Barff for applicants.— Granted. The same party applied ftir permisi sion to construct a tail-race, Mr Bat 8: also appearing for applicants.—Granted-. W. Surgesson applied for a tail-race— The application was opposed by Mahouey and party.—Mi* Hannan appeared for the objectorsi—The case was adjourned to the 2?th inst; Summers and party applied to havd the banks of; a Creek defined.—The casd was adjourned, the Mining Registrar to report to the Warden. The following suit was then heard : Jefferies v. Holmes: a claim for £ls for breach of agreement in not removing plaintiffs cottage.—Mr Seddon appeared for the defendant ', and } after a coiu siderable amount of evidence had been taken, plaintiff Was nonsuited.
