RESIDENT MAGISTRATE’S COURT.
Monday, June 13 [Before H. A. Stratford, Esq., R.M.] The Court opened at 8 p.m. Dolau and Fish wick v. O’Reilly.— A claim for £23 17a fid.—This was a claim for work done in the construction of a culvert on the deviation of the Kumara and Greenstone Road.—After a considerable amount of evidence had been taken, judgment was given for the plaintiffs for £2l 17s fid. Tuesday, June 14. The Court opened at 9 a.m. Ada Clifford was charged with drunkenness, and pleaded guilty.—lt being the first offence, the prisoner was discharged with a caution. CIVIL CASES. Hopwood v. Williams.—A claim for £3 13s. There was no appearance on the part of the plaintiff, and the case was dismissed. Cocking v. Bird.—A claim for £1 3s,—There being no appearance on the part of the plaintiff, the case was dismissed. Olsen v. Schultheis.—A claim for £3 12s 2d.—After evidence had been taken on both sides, judgment was given for the plaintiff. Olsen v. Wheeler.—A claim for £lO 17s Id.—Judgment by consent.
