BRITISH AND FOREIGN, London, May 16. The Bey of Tunis has made a communication to the Powers, in which he protests that his consent to the treaty which has been concluded with France was extorted from him by the French Commander. Constantinople, May 16, The Porto has addressed the French Government on the subject of the treaty which has been entered into with the Bey of Tunis. The comranuication denies that the Bey was competent to conclude such a treaty without the consent of the Sultan. Rome, May IG. The resignations of Liberal members of the Italian ’Ministry have been accepted by King Humbert, and Signor Sella has been, charged with the formation of a new administration.
