[new ZEALAND PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wyndham, May 14. One body was recovered yesterday afternoon, having the name “ Bell ” written upon the shirt. The diamond ring 'found upon one of the female bodies recovered early in the week has been identified by a female friend as having belonged to the late Mrs CampbeU. Duneldin, May 14. The Tararua inquiry was continued all day. Mr Mills, manging director of the Union Company, said in his evidence that those who were on board when the vessel Came to Port Chalmers were 63 men, 9 women and 10 children. There booked at Port Chalmers, 23 men, 2 women, 4 children. The crew consisted of 39 men and one woman. This makes the totai up to 152. Twenty were saved. TiMARtr, May 14. Michael Quick was to-day committed for trial at the Supreme Court for. attempting to commit Suicide by stabbing himself in the stomach.
