H.M.S. DOTEREL BLOWN UP. 133 LIVES LOST. London, May 4. Information has been received by the Admiralty that a terrible explosion occurred on board the British man-of-war Doterel on April 26, when off Sandy Poiut in the Straits of Magellan, causing the total wreck of the vessel and great loss of life, only the captain and ten others surviving. Nothing id known as to the cause of the explosion. Additional news has reached the Admiralty regarding the disaster to her Majesty's ship Doterel, in the Straits of Magellan. It is now known that eight officers and 135 men were killed by the explosion, but nothing has yet been learned as to the cause of the same. The race for the Two Thousand Guineas was run to-day at Newmarket, and won by Peregrine, with Iroquois second and Don Fuland third.
