BRITISH AND FOREIGN. London, March 9. It is generally expected that important changes will shortly take place in the Cabinet. March 10. The barque Cbandiare, from Napier, which arrived off the coast on Monday, came into collision yesterday with the Euphrates as she was coming rrp the Channel. She suffered considerable damage, and shortly afterwards went ashore on Goodwin Sands. She has, however, since been tugged off and brought safely into dock. The Euphrates was but slightly injured. Capetown, March 10. News has been received from Natal that Joubert, commander of the Boer forces, is making strong efforts to induce the loyal Boers in Transvaal and the Free State to join in the rebellion at the same time President Brandt is doing his utmost to bring about a peaceful settlement of affairs. London, March 10. The inquest on the remains of the men who met with their death by the disaster to the boat of the. Cerebns, failed to elucidate any fresh facts in connection with the explosion. In the Legislative Assembly last night the Reform Bill was under consideration in Committee of the whole. As the Government declined to submit to any amendment, the Opposition abstained from discussion, and most of the clauses of the Bill were passed through Committee, Sydney, March 11. Socket has been committed for trial on the charge of setting fire to his premises in Barrack street, in January last.
