THE MURDER AT TE AROHA. Giuhamstown February 21. This morning; at the Resident Magistrate's Court; John Procoffy was charged with the wilful murder of Mininoa Haroha at Te Aroha. The police applied for a remand until Thursday. Mr Brassey, who appeared for the accused, said there was no evidence to show a prima facie case against the prisoner, and he objected to the remand. The Bench granted the remand, stating as Mr Kenrick had begun the case, he would continue it. G. N. Brassey, who is solicitor for the accused man Procoffy, has been threatened with violence if he defends the prisoner. The intimation was conveyed to him from Pineha, chief of the Ngahaka tribe. -FINAL ACCEPTANCES FOR THE DUNEDIN CUP. Dunedin, February 21.
