THE LATE LICENSING.
[TO THE EDITOR.] Sir—l find that the remarks made by me at the Licensing Court in regard lo sly grog-shops have hurt the feelings of a very worthy citizen who is living in a house which was formerly licensed under the name of the Shamrock Hotel. Allow me to say that my remarks wore intended to apply solely to licenses which are known as sly grog-shops, and most certainly were not intended to apply to the house in question. James Wylde.
