Clapcott to be deputy cattle inspector for the cattle district of Westland . Auckland, May 18. Hamlin and Harris, representatives of Franklyn in the General Assembly, addressed their constituents at Bombay last evening, and received a vote of confidence. The Pokeno railway station was broken into last night. The stationmaster left the key in the safe, and £lO was stolen. The desk, with a. considerable sum of money,, was left on the chair untouched. The police are investigating the robbery.
