f UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION. J Wellington, May 19. The following appointments appear in the Gazette Messrs H. L. Robinr son, J. A. Bonar, J. Giles, W. James, and H. 9. Lahman, to. the members of the Local Cattle Board for the district of Westland. Mr H. E. Robinson to be Chairman of the said Cattle Board. Mr B. Clapcott to be deputy cattle inspector for the cattle district of Westland . Auckland, May 18. Hamlin and Harris, representatives of Franklyn in the General Assembly, addressed their constituents at Bombay last evening, and received a vote of confidence. The Pokeno railway station was broken into last night. The stationmaster left the key in the safe, and £lO was stolen. The desk, with a. considerable sum of money,, was left on the chair untouched. The police are investigating the robbery.
