Christchuech, May 10: A fire" occurred at the Southbridge flour mills, near Rangiora, on Sunday, which did damage to the extent of about £IOO, but which will cause great loss by the stoppage of work at this extraordinary business season-. It occurred in the oatmeal kiln, and was caused by a defective chimney. Tlie kiln being built of brick confined the fire till assistance arrived, and the flames were prevented from spreading to the rest of the building, which is of wood. The police on Sunday night prevented the Yfoung Men's Christian Association from singing in the streets, alleging they caused obstructions. Dunedin, May 10. The goods hands working in the railway
