- BRITISH AND FOREIGN. London, April 13. In view of the approaching resignation of the Ministry, Lord Lytton, Viceroy of India, has been raised to an Enldom. The training ship Atalanta, with 300 souls aboard, is reported missing. She left Bermuda at the end of January, and was returning from a cruise. Great anxiety prevails regarding her safety. The channel Squadron has been ordered to search for the missing vessel. Paris, April 12. It has been announced that the vessel conveying the French exhibits to the Melbourne Exhibition will leave in May. LATEST AUSTRALIAN NEWS. Melbourne, April 13. The Governor laid the foundation stone of the Melbourne Cathedral today. There was a large attendance, and the proceedings were carried out with considerable ceremony.
