BRITISH AND FOREIGN. Bombay, March 25. Intelligence has been received from Cabul of severe fighting between that city and Gundamak. The Kohistans having effected a junction with other hostile tribes, made a desperate attack on the British position between Cabul and Gundamak. Heavy fighting ensued, and the enemy were repulsed with great loss. The British loss was trifling.

London, March 25. Mr Gladstone has recovered from his recent illness. News has been received from South America of the resumption of hostilities by the Chilians and Prcuvians. A severe battle has been fought at Mosguequa, which resulted..in the defeat of the Chilians, who suffered a loss of 1300 killed and wounded.
