ASSESSMENT COURT.
[Before J. Mackay, !Esq., Judge.} A sitting of the Assessment Court was held on Thursday, after the termination of the business of the Resident Magistrate’s and Warden’s Courts, and again on Friday morning, when the following objections were heard and allowed { — John O'Hagan, store, Seddon street, £2O ; reduced to £l2. Matthew Davidson, forge, Main ■street, £ls; reduced to £B. Daniel Cullen, section 60, Main street, £25 5 reduced to £2O. Daniel Cullen, section 60, Main street, £4O; reduced to £3O. Daniel Cullen, section 1, Main street, £45 ; reduced to £4O. ThU following alterations were made in the names of occupiers and owners of the undermentioned sections on the Valuation List of the Borough of Kumara, for the year 1880 : W. Finlayson, 42 Seddon street; altered to (4. Simmons. School Commissioners, 160 Seddon street; altered to J ; M‘Whirter. School Commissioners, 264 First street; altered to W. Finlayson. School 'Commissioners, 259 to 264 Second street; altered to Menry Kornah. School Commissioner’s, 24 and 452, Second street; altered to O. W. Anderson. . School Commissioners, 14 acres, Second street; altered to Francis Oldeh. At the conclusion ol the Court, the Judge complimented the valuator oh the very satisfactory and complete manner in which the rolls were compiled.
