Sd fav as the committing of impositidii against the pu'blid in such a case is concerned; the consequences would not be serious ; but ad the qualities of both of the prbdticts’ are in many cases directly bppbsed, to ohti another, we consider it dur, duty td direct the public attention to the following facts The eucalyptus oil is reborded tb hd of value as a meditiamCnt in cases of rheumatism of secondary ilature, ahd manifests a drawing; blistering effect upon the skin. Any blistering brought oh hy the ap-‘ plication of a medicament must increase inflamiation, and it is therefore etident that in cases of wounds, bo Ids, broil- 1 chitis, diptheria, croup, Sprains &0.,* the curative power of oitf extract on the named diseases being unquestionably proved by former publications in this paper. An application Of the oil instead of our extract must impair the diseased; The truth of our assertion is founded upon the fact that the oil is a resinous product equivalent to common turpentine, its market ValUe being about three shillings one pound tveight; our extract consists of the evaporating particles of the gum leaves, soothing and healing in its effects, its price being twenty-four . shillings for one pound weight:- Our extract, the genuine article, is Only made up in one half ounce and one ounce vials ; vials bearing on the labels oUr trade mark and signature. ; SANDER and SONS,- Sole Manufacturers of the Eucalyptus Extract; Sandhurst, November, 1878.'

The’ Extract of the Eucalyptus Glob'dhis, manufactured solely by Messr'd Saucier and Sons, Sandhurst, recommends itself by the following dedaration and testimonials Epitome, of declaration made before Moritz Cohn, J.K, on the 17th October, 2877, at Sandhurst :— u Three medical gentlemen had attended the son of Mr Raabe, of Ironbark, for nine weeks, and declared that amputation of the leg injured by an axe was absolutely necessary. At this junction Mr Raabe called on Messrs Sander and Sons, procuring some of their Extract of the Eucalyptus Globulus, and by the application of the same he had the satisfaction of seeing his soli within a fortnight out of all danger, and he has novT quite recovered.” Brief Extracts from the Bendigo Evening News:— Mr Gieschin, residing near Sydenham Gardens, had a; very severe cold in November, could scarcely breathe, and could get no relief.. Cured after three applications of the extract. The same gentleman suffered eight years from rupture, and all medical skill proved ineffectual in giving relief. Cured after, taking extract internally for six months. A man having his arm bruised severely at a crushing machine, iri Long Gully, applied the extract, and the accident did not even necessitate as much as. an interruption in his attendance at work. Mrs Weppner, in Colbinabbin (Runnymede) informed the manufacturers that the extract applied twice restored health to her daughter, eleven years of age, who had been rushed and trampled upon by a cow. In November Mrs Reeves, from the Rifleman’s Arms, Back Creek, brought information of a cure of delirium caused by sunstroke, which took place in the family of Mr Ryan, butcher, of Back Creek. The wife of Mr Eiokol suffered in the bend of the knee from a swelling which had formed a, lump of Considerable size, disabling her from attending to any work. She removed the swelling completely by a continued application of the extract. -y ■ The Donald Times, of Ist * December, 1877, states Last week the eldest boy of Mr Morgan awoke in the night crying with earache.
