The Legislative Council has thrown out the Bill proposing to abolish the penalty of death for rape. The amending Landing Act has been passsed by the Legislative Assembly. Williams and Co., ironmongers, were robbed in open day of £SOOO, in cheques and notes. A portion of the property was recovered. Adelaide, June 11. A debate is proceeding in the Assembly on a motion condemning the financial arraagements of the Government. A division is expected tomorrow.
