CORRESPONDENCE.
[The Editor;,-.does - riot, necessarily, adopt the opihloTtT' expressed by eorrespondents.] OUR LATE WARDEN. [TO Tflfl EDITOR.] Sir—lt is with much pleasure I notice that the residents of this district have resolved to present our late War* den with a substantial recognition of his services. I am sore that such a testimonial cannot be otherwise than acceptable to one who has been so good a friend to the residents of this district as Mr Price has been, and who has no doubt suffered in health by his close attendance to his duties. I see that the Reef ton residents have presented Mr Warden Shaw with £IOO ; and I think that the .residents of this district should in no way be behind their neighbours in showing their gratitude and appreciation of services well and faithfully rendered.—l am, <fcc., A Subscriber.
