At a meeting of the Central Board of E-Incation, held at Hokitika on Tbilisi lay last, the following correspondence relative to this district was road and dealt with :

Phillips, assistant teachr, Kumara. School j Miss Crowthet assistailt teacher, Kumara, School, Resolved, “ That the raigiiatidn of the head master and ussisUit teachers of Kumara School be accfcped.” From the Inspector of SBodlsj coilcorning the appointment of n assiatdab teacher to the Kumara Schol.
Resolved, “ That the corrspdndendd from the Kumara Commitee, re tHe assistant teacher at Kumara School, bd postponed for consideration until tlid next meeting of the Board.” From Mr Thomas M. Wil»n, stating that he accepted the position of assistant teacher at the Kurmra School, Received.
From the teacher Greenstoie School; forwarding his resignation. From the Secretary Kutrira committee with reference to the reignatioii of the toucher, at Greenstone, and asking the board to rescind the Esdlulidil [daoing the school under the Bfth clause of (ho Act. Received.
From the secretary Kmmra Committee, reccomendiug the loard td purchase a building at the Gueustone, belonging to the Bank of NowZoaland; Resolved, “ That the Buildhg Committee be authorised ti close vith the Bank of Kew Zealand for the lurchase of land and building at the Grefenstone-.”
Resolved “ That the questioutf fitting up the late hank building at G-eentone for school purposes, be refund to thd Building committee with power to From the Secretary of the Laniard Committee asking that the coiimittee m;iy be allowed to make temporary arrangements for carrying cn the Knmara School.
Resolved, That the KdmaraSchool Committee he authorised to tale steps to fill tempoiari'y the vacancies in thd staff at Knmara School, subject t» the approval of the Finance Commit,ee;”
